Canon Rebel T1i How I love you....



SO for Christmas I got this .... seriously... Where have you been my whole life... The picture quality is sickening! I hardly even know how to use it still but every day I am trying to get better! I need to buy a book or something to help me! Any suggestions?

here are some of the pictures I have taken... tell me what you think...

Oh before I go there. I collect christmas ornaments from all the places i visit... I have quite the collection from the past 2 years ( since i started collecting)

My go at MACRO shots... I came home from work on Christmas eve to find flowers that Juan who is in Afghanistan had sent to me... i cried... it was sad and sweet and who knew I was such a cry baby!

Ooooo - congrats! I have a great pdf from twopeasinabucket.com that really helped me figure out the manual controls on my camera. Drop me an email and I'll send it along!

I am so jealous! I wanted a digital SLR forever, but had to save up for mine.

Your camera should have come with a manual. You can also check out the "For Dummies" version for that camera. Not trying to be insulting, those books are very informative and are written in an easy-to-comprehend way.

Good luck! I can't wait to see all the pics you're going to take.

One of my favorite tricks is to use a large aperture because it makes the background blurry. Something like that works great with close-up pics like the ones of your ornaments. And I also like to add a little edge burn to all my pics (though that is an editing trick, rather than a photography thing).

great start with your pics! yeah a book would be a good idea for me to learn too.. oh well i figure just learn a bit everytime you use it and you will be apro in no time
