Anyways... Other then that. I am now officially done with all my craft show inventory... I just need to take pictures of all the onesies I made so I can have record of them! They are a little different then the ones I have made in the past. I love them all!!!
So Juan DID get recalled and has to report to base on May 18... BUT... Don't worry I didn't cry! I think the initial shock of it was when he got the letter in the mail... but now I have come to terms with it. Really there is nothing I can do about it. His job in the marines was infantry so... pretty much I am sure that he is going to the middle east... That is the only part that I am worried about... But I cant be crazy until I actually know! but I have come up with some "Positive" things about a deployment... here is my list
1) Hand Written letters... they mean so much to me
2) I can craft whenever I want without feeling guilty for ignoring my boyfriend
3) Make care packages and know he appreciates them
4) We appreciate each other more
5) I can justify my Asian stationary obsession...
6) Stamps...
7) Juan will have a lot of money once he gets back!! (hahaha shallow)
I am just glad he got stationed at Camp Pendelton which is only 20 minutes from my house rather then North Carolina! Besides Juan said he would buy me a dog!!! HAHAHAHAHA.... bribery still works on me... This is my dream dog a French Bulldog
But yeah... Right now I am trying to stay as positive as possible... I know I will not always stay like this.... But today is a happy day! Mostly because everything is still up in the air... I don't know for sure if he is getting deployed over seas or not.
In the PennySaver yesterday there was an ad for an English Bulldog puppy for $450 I was like " YES I NEED IT PLEASE JUAN LETS GET IT!!! Why is it so cheap?" and then he said " because its Deaf" then of course I was like " AAAAAAHHHHHH I love it even more now!!! I am so loud it will hear my voice vibrations!!" and Juan said " NO... we don't want a deaf dog!" (ummm... what? why? ) So I said " WHY? You are partially deaf and I still love you!" Geeze.. RUDE! My brother has hearing problems and so does Juan... I still love them! Should I try to sell them for $450 like chopped liver in the Pennysaver?

I used to LOVE watching Riki Lake when I was sick - but alas now all I have to turn to is Dr Phil and Oprah, and I find Oprah quite boring sorry to say.

I really hope Juan doesn't get sent to the Middle East! I can't even what you're going through right now. It's great that you're staying positive though! I'm sure everything will work out for the best!

maybe you don't want a deaf dog because it can't hear oncoming traffic? stuff like that? i don't know, i guess he could be an inside dog. i'm pretty obsessed right now with obtaining a pomeranian..i already have a name too! sgt. grumbles. i can't wait!
and i'm sorry about juan, i'm glad you're staying positive though. i can't even imagine.
that really sucks about Juan, I hope you get a cute dog to cuddle when you are missing him

p.s. I have a signed Ricki Lake photo, I was invited to see the show filmed when I visited New York years ago but the filming was the day after my flight home, I was gutted cause that show is just so cheesy. So my boyfriend secretly wrote to Ricki and she sent me a signed photo!

We'll help keep you busy and crafty to keep your mind off of things! There are lots of sweet dogs at the Humane Society, you should try googling it, sometimes they have fancy breeds, too. I'd take any old mutt, I just miss having a yard! :)

I was just talking with an army guy at my coffee shop job the other day. We spoke about what it's like for soldiers.
I've never ever had Army people around me. So I have very limited information on the feelings and thoughts people go threw. The guy I was talking to (he was about 48) seemed really mature and calm.
The army seems to be hard shit to deal with and it seems to me that it can create a certain understanding of life that is deeper than the ordinary person.

I'm sorry to hear about Juan being deployed again. It sucks they keep sending them back. Please reconsider buying a puppy through an ad in the Pennysaver. Sorry to preach but responsible breeders don't sell their puppies at pet shops or through ads. I don't know offhand who does French bulldog rescue in So Calif but there might be someone. You can check Petfinder -- search on your zip code and the breed and see what comes up.

Boo for being called back to service...yeah for the pup! But, you already knew i would be happy for you on that one! Word to the wise...if a dog seems too cheap/good to be true in the pennysaver, it is. Go to a rescue or a reputable breeder. There are lotsa shady breeders that sell sick dogs. Let me know if you need any other info, I am glad to help!
I'm sorry to hear about the recall. There's always the chance that he might just get stationed in the US to fill the gap - several of our recalled friends stayed Stateside, but that was a couple of years ago. Best wishes.
